Nothing to see here. Just my artwork living its best life in Shauna Glenn's bathroom.

Y’all. I’m tryna act cool but inside I’m jumping around like one of those spastic contestants on the Price is Right after they win a chance to “come on down”. What’s up with those people anyway? Do the producers tell them to completely spaz out or are they genuinely that excited to have a chance to play “Pay The Rent” or “Switcheroo”? Don’t they know how much in taxes and fees are taken out if they win anything? Is it really worth it to sacrifice your dignity on national television for the chance to win a Ford Fusion or a new vacuum or a washer/dryer set? (I’m not gonna lie, I’d actually spaz out on national television for one of those fancy new Dyson vacuum cleaners.)

Oh well, I digress. Also, excuse me while I sacrifice my dignity and jump around like a giddy Price is Right contestant because this just happened…

I mean, seriously y’all, this is way better than winning a Ford Fusion after having to jump around on a stage like my hair’s on fire in front of millions of people.

In case you’re not understanding why I’m freaking out or what exactly is happening here, let me break it down for you. While that Hygge & West wallpaper is sheer perfection, the West Elm chandelier is poppin’, and I need that Anthropolgie rug stat, what I’m really excited about is my artwork “Spotsy”, living its best life alongside this adorable pup in this fabulous bathroom designed by the one and only, Shauna Glenn. If you’re not already following her on insta, you’re missing out. Stop what you’re doing and go here, right now, and click follow.

Do you want to see some of my art live its best life in your space? I got you, boo.

Limited edition fine art prints of “Spotsy” are available in a variety of sizes and on various substrates here. Coming Soon

As soon as I’m able to recover from losing my dignity and freaking out with excitement about the above situation, I’ll be getting back to work in my studio on not one, not two but three new art series inspired by my recent travels.

My “Cosmic Neon” series (already in progress) is inspired by my recent visit and photo shoot at the Neon Boneyard in Las Vegas, and will feature collage photography and artwork influenced by the history of Las Vegas through neon. This is a special limited edition series and photos obtained at the Neon Museum have to be done so for a fee and with a special licensing agreement.

My new “Palm Desert Vibes” series is heavily influenced by the iconic mid-Century modern style and colors for which Palm Springs has become known. Also, I’m not a travel blogger, but I play one on my blog sometimes, so I’ll be writing about some of our fave things to do, see and eat in the Palm Springs area in an upcoming entry so I can pretend for moment that I’m a travel blogger.

The third series I’m working on doesn’t have a name yet, but I know for sure that it will include a heavy dose of vitamin sea inspired by our recent trip to the beautiful island of Grand Cayman. We were able to enjoy amazing snorkeling right off of the beach at our house - what a magical world beneath those waves!

While we’re on the subject, snorkel is a very funny word, don’t you think? It sounds way too dorky for how cool it is. I vote we re-brand the word snorkeling — how about “Sea Gazing” or “Ocean Scouting”? I dunno. Just a thought.

I’d love to stay here and chat, but my rural internet is going painfully slow today (which has made this whole blog writing process take about 5 times longer than it should) and I’ve got art to make.

I’ll be back with more soon, in the meantime, be sure to follow me on instagram where sometimes I or my farm animals do weird stuff in my instagram stories. Also, I’ve now added this fancy schmancy feature which makes it easy for you to shop my ‘gram. I have to pay a fee for this fancy schmancy feature, so please go here and buy some cool stuff so I can pay my bills. Most of my creations are available for a limited time only, so if you see something you like, you’d better snag it before it’s too late. Sorry, not trying to be a pushy salesperson here, just trying to help you from living a life filled with regret. You’re welcome.

Love you mean it,

Ash
